Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 12, 2026. This policy explains what the Wix app "Gift Wrap & Add-ons" ("the app"), provided by operix apps, does with data. It applies to site owners who install the app and to shoppers who use the gift option on those sites.

What the app does

The app lets shoppers on a Wix Stores site add gift wrapping, a gift message, a recipient's name and optional add-on products to their order from the side cart or checkout. Paid options are added to the order as fees, and the chosen options are saved with the order so the site owner can prepare it.

Data the app stores

• Settings. The wrap styles, prices, texts and add-on products chosen by the site owner are stored in a collection inside that site's own Wix CMS.
• Gift selections. When a shopper turns on the gift option, the chosen wrap style and price, the gift message, the recipient's name (if the site asks for it) and technical identifiers of the cart, checkout and order (issued by Wix) are stored in the site's Wix CMS. After the order is placed, the order number and the buyer's email address (as recorded by Wix on the order) are added so the site owner can find the order.
• Order fields. The wrap style, recipient and message are also written to the Wix order as custom fields and shown to the site owner in the Wix dashboard and order notifications.
• Site registration. To operate the app we keep a record of each site where it is installed: the Wix site id and the app instance id (technical identifiers issued by Wix), the site's plan for this app, when the app was first and last seen, and usage counters (how often the gift option was loaded, the dashboard was opened, or a gift option was chosen). This record contains no shopper data and is deleted when the app is uninstalled.

The app does not place advertising cookies, does not track shoppers across sites, and does not read customer lists, payment details or members' private data beyond what is needed for the gift option described above.

Where the data lives and for how long

All data is stored in the site's own Wix CMS, under the site owner's control, and processed on Wix's hosting infrastructure. The site owner can view and delete it at any time from the Wix CMS, and Wix removes the app's collections when the app is uninstalled. Gift selections that never lead to an order are ordinary CMS rows the site owner may delete; the app keeps no separate copy of selections. The site registration record described above is kept by the app operator and removed when the app is uninstalled.

Why we process it

We process gift selections on the instructions of the site owner to provide the gift option shoppers asked for and to add the related fees to the order. The site owner is the controller of shopper data on their site; we act on their behalf as a processor through the Wix platform.

Sharing

We do not sell or share data with third parties. Data is processed by Wix (as the platform hosting the site, the CMS, the checkout and the app backend) under Wix's own terms and privacy policy.

Your rights and contact

Shoppers should contact the site owner about their orders and gift messages. Site owners can contact us at beobjoong@gmail.com to ask about the app's processing or raise a complaint. Where GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA apply, you have the rights those laws provide, including access, correction and deletion.
