Help — Gift Wrap & Add-ons

A Wix app by operix apps. This guide shows how to set up gift options on a Wix site that uses Wix Stores.

1. Install the app

Install Gift Wrap & Add-ons from the Wix App Market on a site with Wix Stores. The app adds its gift options to the side cart and to checkout, and a small badge to product pages.

2. Set up Gift Options in your dashboard

Open the app in your site's dashboard and go to Gift Options.

• Gift option. Turn gift options on or off, change the title shoppers see, and choose whether it shows in the side cart, at checkout, or both.
• Wrap styles. Give each style a name, a short description and, if you like, an image (an https link from your Media Manager) with an image description (alt text) for screen readers. On Pro you can set a price and charge the wrap fee once per order or per item.
• Gift message and recipient. Let shoppers write a gift message and set its maximum length. On Pro you can charge for the message, ask for the recipient's name, and let shoppers ask for a gift receipt without prices. The request shows on the order; the app does not change packing slips or order emails, so you print the receipt yourself.
• Add-ons (Pro). Pick up to six products from your catalog, such as a card or a ribbon, that shoppers add with one click. Only products without options (size, colour…) can be added. Shoppers see each add-on's current store price.
• Product page badge. Show or hide a short note on product pages and change its text.

Click Save. Saved settings apply to your live site right away.

3. Where shoppers see it

• Side cart: below the items in the cart.
• Checkout: before the order summary.
• Product pages: the gift wrapping badge in the product details.

Paid wraps and paid messages appear as separate "Gift wrap" and "Gift message" lines in the cart, checkout and order totals. The chosen wrap, message, recipient and gift receipt request show on the order page under "Gift options", and all gift orders are listed on the app's Gift Orders page.

4. Publish your site

Open your site in the editor and press Publish so the gift options appear on your live site. If the Gift Options page later says your site's cached pages still show an older version, publish again. If the notice stays, update the app first (Apps → Manage Apps → Update), then publish.

5. Free and Pro

• Free: one wrap style at no charge, a free gift message, wrap images with alt text, the product page badge and the Gift Orders page.
• Pro: everything in Free, plus up to 10 wrap styles with prices, wrap fees once per order or per item, paid gift messages, the recipient's name, gift receipt requests and up to 6 one-click add-on products.

If you move from Pro back to Free, your Pro settings are kept, not deleted. They come back when you upgrade again.
