Events Calendar Sync — Help
Formerly Synced Events Calendar — same app, new name (14 October 2026).
Show Google Calendar, iCal feeds and Wix Events in one calendar on your Wix site · Questions: beobjoong@gmail.com
Getting started (three steps)
- Connect a calendar. In your Wix dashboard open Apps → Events Calendar Sync, choose where your calendar lives and paste its address (directions below). Not ready yet? Click Use a sample calendar to see the widget working right away.
- Add the widget to a page. In the editor open Add → Apps → Events Calendar Sync and drop the widget onto a page. The widget's settings panel controls the view, colors, week start and time zone.
- Publish the site. From then on the calendar refreshes on its own: hourly on the Free plan, every 5 minutes on Pro.
Google Calendar
Public calendar (Calendar ID)
- Open Google Calendar on the web and click the gear icon → Settings.
- Under Settings for my calendars pick the calendar.
- In Access permissions for events tick Make available to public.
- Scroll to Integrate calendar and copy the Calendar ID (it looks like
abc123@group.calendar.google.com or your Gmail address).
- In the app dashboard choose Google Calendar — public calendar and paste the ID.
Private calendar (secret address)
- Google Calendar → gear icon → Settings → pick the calendar.
- Scroll to Integrate calendar and copy Secret address in iCal format.
- In the app dashboard choose Google Calendar — private (secret address) and paste it.
The secret address is stored encrypted, shown masked in the dashboard and never sent to visitors. If you ever reset it in Google, paste the new address.
Outlook / Microsoft 365
- Open Outlook on the web → gear icon → Calendar → Shared calendars.
- Under Publish a calendar choose the calendar and Can view all details, then click Publish.
- Copy the ICS link (not the HTML link) and paste it in the app dashboard under Outlook / Microsoft 365.
Outlook feeds use Windows time-zone names; the app converts them, including daylight-saving changes.
Apple iCloud Calendar
- On iCloud.com → Calendar click the share icon next to the calendar.
- Tick Public Calendar and copy the link (it starts with
webcal://).
- Paste it in the app dashboard under Apple iCloud Calendar. On a Mac: Calendar app → right-click the calendar → Share Calendar → Public Calendar.
Teamup and any other iCal feed
Teamup: open the menu → Preferences → iCalendar feeds and copy the feed of the sub-calendar you want to show (ends with .ics).
Anything else: most calendar tools (Eventbrite, Luma, Nextcloud, university calendars, WordPress event plugins…) offer an "iCal", "ICS" or "webcal" subscription link in their sharing or export settings. Paste that link; it must open without a login.
Wix Events
If the Wix Events app is installed on your site, choose Wix Events (this site) and click Connect. Published events appear with their registration status; the details show an RSVP / Register button that leads to the event page.
- Views: Month and List on every plan; Week and Day on Pro. On narrow screens the month grid switches to a readable list.
- Style preset: Classic, Minimal, Bold, Dark or Pastel in one click. Your own accent color, text and background color, corner radius and font override the preset, on every plan.
- Time zone: the visitor's zone, one fixed zone, or a zone you type (any IANA name such as
Europe/Berlin).
- Calendar chips, location, descriptions: show or hide them; a location that is an address comes with a map link; descriptions in list views can be one line, the full text or hidden.
- Pro extras for visitors: a search box, add-to-calendar buttons (Google, .ics) and a Subscribe button that offers the whole calendar as a feed.
Free and Pro
Free: one calendar, the next 100 upcoming events, month and list views, hourly refresh, no watermark. Sites that installed the app before this limit started on 12 October 2026 keep all their events.
Pro ($4.99/month, or $3.99/month billed yearly): up to ten calendars with colors and filter chips, every upcoming event, refresh every 5 minutes, week and day views, search, add-to-calendar and subscribe buttons. Upgrade from the app dashboard; the plan is per site.
Troubleshooting
"This needs the CMS app on your site"
The app stores your calendars in your site's CMS. Add CMS from the Wix App Market (free), then reload the app dashboard.
Events are missing or out of date
- Check the Status column in the dashboard. An error shows the reason (for example a Google calendar that is not public, or an address that no longer answers). Fix the source and click Sync now.
- Only events from about one month ago to twelve months ahead are shown.
- A very large calendar shows Partial: descriptions are dropped first, then the calendar is capped at 1,500 events.
- Visitors see a cached copy that refreshes hourly (Free) or every 5 minutes (Pro).
Times look wrong
Set the widget's time zone to the calendar's zone if your visitors and your events are in different places. Feeds that omit time-zone definitions are interpreted with the IANA database.
The Week or Day view does not appear
Those views are part of Pro; on the Free plan the widget shows the month grid instead.
